We want to introduce you to some of the features that iWorQ’s new interface provides. To help you get comfortable with the preferences and options available, we have put together a step-by-step guide for 4 tips to highlight a few features you may not know about.
Adjusting the view size and page size
- Depending on the size of screen you are viewing on or the number of columns that you would like view, you may want to adjust the font size to be smaller, which will let you fit more data onto the page.
- From the dashboard, go to the preferences tab (♥) on the right side of the screen.
- If you are not familiar with the preference box already, you can check or uncheck data fields that you may or may not want to view on your dashboard.
- At the end of the preferences list, there are 3 options available to change: the view size, page size and a default saved search. The default for view size is ‘md‘, but there are two other options, ‘sm’ and ‘Desktop View’. Each of these views will affect the main information screen and how compact the columns will display. The page size option let you choose how many entries you would like to see on one page. To view more rows of information, increase the number listed on the drop-down.
The ‘Quick Find’ Button
- Inside of an opened permit or work order, there is a small arrow button on the left-hand side that opens up the quick find menu.
- Click on any of the sections to quickly jump to that section of the permit.
- This easily allows you to get to a specific section of a permit without scrolling and searching.
Disappearing Menu
- Once you have a work order or a permit opened you will see a menu off to the right side. When scrolling down the screen, the menu disappears.
- To open the menu back up, click on the hamburger menu icon at the top of the window and it will reappear.
Options For Contractors & Inspections
- Inside of an opened permit, you will find different sections, under certain sections there is data that you can customize to show your most important information.
- Scroll or use quick find to get to the contractors section or inspections section.
- The 4 columns of displayed information can be changed to show the most pertinent information.
- Click on the preferences button (♥) to open up the available information.
- Once you’re in the preference panel, check or uncheck information you would like displayed under the inspections section.
- To re-order the fields, click on the settings button at the bottom of the window to open a drag and drop panel.
- Click on an item you would like to move, and drag it up or down to place information into a specific order.
- The top 4 fields will now show as the columns in the inspection section of a permit.
- If you click the arrow next to an individual inspection, the rest of the information will appear.
