-To narrow the search parameters to see specific data select the advanced search tab from the request menu.
-You can select from any of the options in the advanced search window to narrow down the data. Fill in the fields that you would like to return information on and click search at the top of the window.
-Saving Searches:
-For searches that you perform frequently, open the advanced search tab, enter your parameters, and click on the ‘save search’ button and enter a name for your new saved search.
-There are two ways to open a saved search. The first is to select the ‘open saved search’ tab in the request dashboard menu. The other is to click on the ‘select view’ button on the right side of the screen. The select view option also allows you to see data sorted by a certain date range.
-Inside of a Request:
-When you click on a request, a window will open with the information that has been provided with that request. From this window, you can add additional information, write notes(which can only be seen internally), write the requestor a response, export the request to work management, code enforcement, permit management and more. There is also a delete request button at the bottom of the window to remove a request.
-Each request will be auto-assigned a request number. Citizens will also see this number on their end of the portal and can use the number to check back on the status of the request.
-Setting Dashboard Preferences:
-As with any application using the new interface, preferences can be set to customize your dashboard. Open the preferences menu by selecting the heart icon from the right menu bar in your dashboard view.
-From within the preferences window you can select which fields you want to display on your dashboard, how many lines of data you would like to see on one page (using page size) and what size the information is displayed at (using view size), what size the detail sections on the edit screen are displayed at (using table size), the color scheme you would like, and a default saved search.
